Q: How much does it cost?

If your church has a non-profit postage permit, each card costs 79¢, including printing, addressing, and delivery to the post office. There is a one-time setup fee of $79.95. Without a non-profit permit, the cost is 89¢ per card.

Q: Can I limit how many postcards are mailed each month?

Yes, you can set a limit, but it must be at least 50 postcards per month to be effective.

Q: Where do the lists come from? Are they accurate?

Outreach acquires lists from a specialist in new mover data, using sources such as property titles and deeds, utility hookups, magazine change of address, and NCOA data. The lists are compiled and filtered for accuracy.

Q: After our monthly postcards are sent, how many new people should I expect?

Response rates vary depending on the number of invitations sent and other church marketing efforts. Visitors may respond over several weeks, as it can take up to 7 touches for someone to respond to a marketing campaign.

Q: Can I change my church postcard design?

Yes, changes can be made usually by the 7th of each month for a $29.95 fee. A $59.00 modification fee applies if changing to a non-New Mover Postcard design.

How does the Outreach New Mover Program work? Every month, Outreach will obtain a list of new movers in your selected areas. We will then address and mail postcards to each new mover on behalf of your church, inviting them to your weekly services.

What makes your program unique? There are several features that make the Outreach New Mover Program unique: First, it is the only new mover program that allows you to select specific areas to mail to instead of a general radius and allows you to do this BEFORE you sign up. It’s the only program that offers variable data personalization featuring the recipient's name printed as part of the design, free - other companies do not offer this service at all or charge extra for it! Finally, the Outreach New Mover Program is a complete, turnkey program: we do it all for you, including delivery to the post office, and you get a monthly list of recipients that allows you to follow up and reach out to your families again. Why do so many churches do new mover outreaches? Every year 20+ million families move to a new home. Studies show that these new neighbors are often looking for ways to connect to their new community and make new friends. Sometimes New Move-ins are also going through a life transition like being newly married or divorced, becoming an empty nester or having a baby, or moving away from family - during these times people are often more open to spiritual discussions and in need of support. New Neighbors are a very responsive audience to church invitations and church events.

How much does it cost? If your church has a non-profit postage permit, each card is only 79¢ each including printing, addressing and delivery to the post office. There is a one-time set up fee of $79.95. If you do not have a non-profit permit, your costs will be just 20 cents higher per card.

Can I limit how many postcards are mailed each month? Yes, you can set a limit. To be effective and see results, you cannot set a limit below 50 postcards a month.

Are there minimum quantities required? We want your postcards to be effective, therefore you cannot set a limit below 50 postcards per month.

Where do the lists come from? Are they accurate? Outreach acquires our lists from a specialist in new mover data. They pull information from property titles and deeds, utility company hookups, magazine change of address, and NCOA data. The names are compiled and filtered to ensure the list is as accurate as possible.

When are the church postcard invitations mailed? Regular New Mover invitation mailings are delivered to the post office the last week of each month. The Multi-Reach mailings are sent approximately two weeks later to the same households to increase response rates.

After our monthly postcards are sent, how many new people should I expect? Your response rates will vary depending on how many invitations are being sent and what other marketing your church is doing in the community. Visitors may not respond immediately; it is more common to see a trickle of visitors over several weeks. Studies show that it can take up to 7 "touches" before someone responds to a marketing campaign, so as you continue to promote your church through other marketing techniques you will see higher response.

Can I change my church postcard design? Yes, the deadline to complete any changes are usually the 7th of each month. There is just a $29.95 change fee. A modification fee of $59.00 applies if changing to a design that is a Non-New Mover Postcard Design.

How will I know who has received the postcard invitations? Every month you will receive an email report showing the number of cards and the information on each new family who receives the postcards so you can follow up. We will also include your mailing address when we send the postcards so that you will receive a postcard the same time as your new neighbors.

How will I receive the reports of new movers for follow up? The reports are sent via email with an MS Excel spreadsheet attachment. You will receive the name and address for each person who received a postcard from your church that month.

Can you bill my church for the subscription? At this time, only Credit Card payments are accepted for the New Mover Subscriptions. Your card will be charged around the 24th of each month, the same day your postcards begin printing.

What if I'm not happy with the service? You may cancel the service at any time - there are no long term contracts or obligations. The New Mover Program does have a guarantee: if another new mover program produces better results than the New Mover Outreach program, we will refund your $79.95 set up fee so you can switch back. You must have tried the New Mover Outreach program for at least four months. Call for details.

How does it work and what is the general timeline? The deadline to sign up or submit changes is usually the 7th of each month by 3pm Mountain Time
Your proof is sent to you the second week of the month and you have until around the 14th to approve that proof
Your list is pulled and available on your Online Dashboard around the 15th of each month
Your card is charged and your postcards begin printing around the 24th of each month
The cards are sent to the post office and your list of names are sent approx. on the last business day of the month
The postcards begin arriving in homes within 2 weeks
(Optional) - Multireach subscriptions will begin printing and charge the cards around the 15th of the next month and will arrive in homes the second within 2 weeks

Do you have any Spanish postcards? Yes, any of our New Mover Postcards can be customized to have Spanish text. Choose the design you like and then provide us with the Spanish text you want to include and we will customize the card for you and send you a proof to review and approve. Please note that language preference is not a selection available for mailings- anyone moving into your selected area will receive a card in Spanish, even if Spanish is not their preferred language.
